5 iPhone tricks you didn't know

Iphones are already factory with several native features - that is, they are already installed on the device and do not need you to download specific apps. Some of them are well known, such as the virtual Siri assistant and time management spent on the mobile phone. But others are forgotten by most users.

And is to help you make the most of your experience with your iPhone we have prepared a list of features that exist on Apple's mobile phone, but you may not know yet. Most of them were introduced with iOS 14, launched in 2020, while others are older. So follow the reading to learn more.

1. iPhone widgets

Widgets are a function that has long existed on Android phones (although Apple has already used this notion in Mac OS X before the iPhone is released). But the iPhone started to have this functionality from iOS 14. They were only available in previous versions of iOS on the "View for today" page, but they became similar to those of Androids and may even be arranged on the Apple mobile phone homepage.

But what are widgets? It is a small part of an app. It has a graphical interface with information that can be viewed quickly by the user, such as the "Photos" app. If it is integrated into the widget screen, your photos appear on it (example below). It is also possible, for example, to put the weather forecast as a widget, and other apps such as a watch, calendar, maps, fitness, photos, reminders, bag, Apple Music, Apple TV, tips, notes, shortcuts, battery, time of Use, files, podcasts, and suggestions from Siri.

But how to add widgets to the view? Just keep a pressed widget or an empty area in the "Today" view. To get to it, unlock the phone and move to the side, reaching the page before the first screen with applications. Tap the Add ("+" button). It is in the upper left corner. From there, just roll down and select the widget, choosing between three sizes. To finish this process, just press "Add Widget" and give OK.

To configure or edit existing widgets you need to be pressured with it, opening the quick action menu. Choose "edit widget". Then just make the changes you want and press outside the widget. You can move them and put the favorites in easier places to find. Just click on it and when you start shaking, move it through the screen as far as you want to position it. If you choose to remove a widget, just keep it pressed and touch "Remove Widget". Clicking once again to "remove" confirms the removal, and it disappears.

2. Apps library

Apple itself defined last year, at the time of the launch of iOS 14, that the app library was like "a new space at the end of the start -screen pages that organize all apps automatically in a simple and easy-to-navigate view.". In short: it is a repository for all your apps that helps in the organization and for you to see better.

To find it, simply slide your finger to the left on the start screen. The iPhone itself categorizes applications. For example, applications like Apple TV and music will be together in the entertainment quadrant. He also understands which tools are most used by you and reorder them automatically. When a new app is installed, it is also added.

3. Scan with iPhone notes

Essential in the organization, the native application notes of iPhone, since the launch of iOS 11, have presented the news as scanning documents. From iOS 14, however, this function has evolved, gaining more sharpness by improving the scanner Apple and the most accurate automatic clipping.

That is, the iPhone user does not need applications to scan documents. He can do this natively on the device itself. Just open a new annotation in the Notes, touch the camera icon and then "scan documents". From there, it is to point the camera to the document and make the "photo".

If the device is in automatic mode, the document will be scanned automatically. If you need to scan manually, just tap the shutter button or one of the volume buttons. Drag the corners to adjust scanning to page size as you want and, then, just touch "Maintain Scan". At this point, they open the options save or add another scan to the document.

4. Picture in picture

A legal function that not every iPhone user knows is Picture in Picture or PIP. Since the launch of iOS 14, you can continue watching a video or making a facetime connection even while you use another application. Imagine you're on a video call with a family member and need to see the calendar to consult your schedule? It is possible with the PIP.

To do this, just access "Adjustments", go to "General" and then access the PIP option, marking the "Start Pip Automatically" field. It comes with the warning: "When you pass your finger up to go to the onset or use other apps, the videos and connections of the facetime will continue automatically in PIP."

To resize the PIP window, just add or separate your fingers, increasing or decreasing the video on it. You can also move the Picture in Picture window to the corners: simply drag it to reposition it anywhere on your screen.

Send audio messages using Siri

The famous Siri, Apple's virtual assistant, has several possibilities for iPhone users. One that perhaps few people know is that it is possible to send audio messages to iMessage contacts. Just give the command "and there, crab" or press the activation button (lateral). Then speak the phrase:

"Send an audio message to so -and -so (ie the contact name saved on the phone schedule). When the crab tells you, "ok, recording ", just say what you want. choose to finish the audio, just stop talking for a moment, and the recording automatically. As Siri has artificial intelligence, remember to activate your internet, from Phone and internet bundles or even fiber optic so that it works well.
